1958 Piper Pacer PA22-150
$AUD 135,000
This Piper Pacer is a beautifully restored example of Piper's iconic four-seat tailwheel aircraft, combining classic looks with a range of practical upgrades that enhance performance, reliability, and handling.
Rebuilt in 2017 to a Five Rings Aerospace design by respected aircraft builder Harvey McBain of Nelson Aeroplane Co., the aircraft presents exceptionally well and benefits from a comprehensive restoration history.
Powered by a 160hp Lycoming engine mounted on a Dynafocal engine mount and swinging a Sensenich aluminium propeller, this aircraft delivers strong performance with smooth, refined operation. Ground handling and backcountry capability are enhanced with Alaskan 29” Bushwheels, a Baby Bush tailwheel, and Cleveland disc brakes with dual-piston calipers, providing excellent stopping performance and increased control on rough or unimproved surfaces. Combined with the Bushwheel package, this aircraft is purpose-built for adventure flying, offering owners the confidence to operate from remote strips, off-airport environments, and beyond the boundaries of traditional airfields.
The aircraft is fitted with dual control sticks, rudder pedals, and brake pedals, making it well suited to flight training, check flights, or shared ownership operations. Enhanced with Plane Booster wingtips and MicroAerodynamics vortex generators, the aircraft benefits from improved low-speed handling characteristics and reduced stall speeds, increasing both safety and operational versatility. A Garmin VFR Nav/Com completes the package, providing reliable navigation and communication capability for day-to-day flying.
Comprehensive logbooks documenting the restoration, installation work, and testing history are available for inspection upon request.
