A distinctive Alaskan-style STOL bush-plane project for someone looking to finish a highly capable, purpose-built off-field aircraft.
The DooMaw has been designed around rugged bush operations, with long-travel landing gear, large balloon tyres, generous ground clearance, five-stage flaps and Handley Page slots. The project is approximately 80% complete, with the seller estimating around 200–300 hours of work remaining.
Included is a Rotax 912ULS 100 hp engine that the seller states has never been run. The engine is approximately 12 years old, has been fogged with its ports kept sealed, and will require inspection and rubber replacement before use.
A notable feature of the design is its folding-wing system, allowing the wings to fold flat alongside the fuselage for compact storage or transport. The project may also be completed with fixed wings if the folding system is not required.
The build has involved approximately 1,900 hours of work to date and is extensively documented, with more than 600 high-resolution build photos reportedly available from the seller.
